Charlotte Tilbury – Filmstar bronze and glow

This has been on my wishlist since I first laid eyes on it. Contouring isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I can’t get enough of chiselled cheekbones and glistening highlight. Dave treated me to this for my birthday, think my not so subtle hints must have sunk in! I’m ever so grateful as I have ooooed and ahhed about splashing out £49.00 on this.

Housed in a sleek  art deco style golden compact, it screams luxury just like all of Charlotte Tilbury’s products. Even the healthy sized mirror features a little star on it. It is everything you expect from high-end packaging and more.

Filmstar Bronze – Its a dusty medium brown shade with slightly warm undertones and a satin finish.

Filmstar Glow – A light subtle beige champagne shade with a golden sheen to it.

The highlight is probably one of the most natural highlighters around, it has a really subtle finish, that doesn’t emphasise pores or cling to drier patches. Both powders are really finely milled and super easy to blend. The bronzer is slightly warm it isn’t orange and definitely doesn’t come across as muddy. Again its easy to work with and of really high quality, perfect for day to day use’as the ashy tones of most contour palettes can look really harsh in natural light. Unlike a lot of other palettes both shades are as good as each other.

So is this little palette worth the price tag? In some ways yes yes yes, but also as beautiful as it is’ it is a lot to splash out on and there are some fabulous palettes available that are a lot cheaper. So its a lovely treat but there is no need to worry too much if it’s not in your collection. I’m not surprised by its highly raved about status but if your a massive contouring fan then you will probably already have something really similar, just maybe not of the same extremely high quality.

That all being said I have been using this ALOT since I got it and If I received another one as a gift once this runs out I’d be a very happy girly. If you do fancy splashing out you can get the palette from Selfridges here.

Have you tried this palette or any other Charlotte Tilbury products? What products do you use to contour and highlight? Do you think this is worth the hefty price tag?. Let me know all your thoughts by commenting below.

Lots of Love,
