There is not much I enjoy more than a steaming relaxing bath. So when I was in Lush a few weeks ago I was automatically attracted to the bath products. I spotted this gorgeous little yellow pudding shaped, little bath oil with a little wick sticking out the top. After a quick whiff I instantly knew I would be buying it.
The scent is really gentle and not at all strong like many of the bath products from Lush, so many might think its a little bland. However I love the light musky slightly vanilla scent, the lemon notes are detectable but don’t overpower the other scents. I’m guessing the reason its shaped like a little pudding is because it does smell like a dessert. Its good enough to eat.
There is a bath melt of the same name, it has the same scent and you can easily get it worldwide online. So I’d really recommend giving that a sniff. At the moment the oil is only available at the Lush Oxford Street store yet keep your eyes peeled as they may launch it online.
To use you simply pop in a hot bath and let the oil float around and melt. The yellow casing soon breaks and releasing all the rich nourishing cocoa butter. All the bits start to melt (well apart from the stick, Which you will have to scoop out at the end) Your bath water becomes silky soft and the relaxing light scent starts to fill the room. Once melted, the water is left ever so slightly tinted a yellow but it’s hardly noticeable.
Floating Island Luxury Bath Oil £2.00 (100g) – Ride the tide of skin softening surf to arrive at your very own floating island – Cocoa butter, almond oil, lemon oil, sandalwood oil.
On my next trip to the Oxford Street store I will definitely be picking up a few of these. My skin felt silky and nourished after the bath. I felt super relaxed and really pampered even before carrying out the rest of my pamper routine.
