I love spicing up a salad with a dressing however I didn’t realise how unhealthy and calorie packed most premade dressings are. However I find plain salads quite bland. So when I was asked to review the saladzinger*, I jumped at the chance. If you haven’t heard of the salad zinger its a amazing invention that lets you create any dressings you want. The only limit to your creations, is your imagination.
Veggie lovers can shake it up by Zinging tasty dressings using the Salad Zinger. Simply add your ingredients to the grind cup (garlic, onion, citrus, spices, fruit, etc.), pour in olive oil and vinegar, shake, and voila! You have a healthy and delicious homemade dressing. With the Salad Zinger you can make the Italian dressing you always wanted, the orange vinaigrette that will have your guests asking for the recipe, a peach balsamic salad dressing that wows you every time, or whatever else your healthy heart desires.

The zinger is really simple to use, You add your desired ingredients to the grinder at the bottom of the bottle. Screw the lid of the grinder on top then the bottle part. Then you add your liquids such as oil or vinegars to the actual bottle. Pop your Zinger in the fridge and let the ingredients infuse with the liquid and you have yourself a beautiful fresh dressing.
Not only is this great for the dieters amongst us but also for those who just want to be creative and enjoy fresh delicious dressings. I have been using it constantly since I received it and have created some delicious dressings and some not as gorgeous dressings lol But I have really enjoyed trying out my new concoctions.
Here are some of my favourite creations
For an italian style vingerette dressing you need –
2 cloves of garlic
2 Basil leaves
1/2 a medium onion
2 oz of olive oil
2 oz of red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons of honey
pinch of salt
pinch of pepper
pinch of Sugar
add the juice of one lemon.
For a Ginger lime and chilli vingarette –
3 inches of Ginger peeled
1 small chilli deseeded
2 oz of white wine vinegar
1 oz of Olive oil
1 teaspoon of sugar
pinch of black pepper
1 teaspoon of honey
add the juice of two limes.
