Essence silky touch blush in Babydoll

Essence is a brand not readily available in the UK although launching the brand in here in September last year it is only available in a very small selection of shops. The brand is a German cosmetics company that offers beautiful high quality products for bargain prices. The brand is popular the world over but I’ve yet to find somewhere near me that sells it. Although you can get them online, the full range is still hard to come across.

I was lucky enough to receive this from a very good friend at Christmas, knowing that its a brand I really want to try and the products are of amazing quality.

The packaging is clear, so you can see the beautiful pattern embossed on the blush. Which is a pretty pattern of circles, swirls and dots. The blusher I have is called babydoll. The colour of the blush is a beautiful soft rosy pink and gives a natural pinched cheek look which I think is really pretty. This shade is really flattering to fairer skins and gives a pretty hint of a flush on darker skins.

The colour is much more pigmented than I was expecting and really buildable. I love that it can give a deeper colour if desired or give you a natural barely there look, which is a really popular look for the spring and summer season. You do need a light hand when applying as due to its high pigmentation you can easily over apply and look like you have been slapped round the chops lol

As the name suggests the formula is silky and leaves your skin with a ever so slight sheen. It is ever so slightly powdery to the touch. It is however really soft and easy to use with a lasting time that rivals much higher end brands.

Lasting for nearly all of the day and still leaving a slight glow on the cheek. The only thing that may put people off is the hint of shimmer in the blush, however I don’t mind a little glitter in my blushes as long as they aren’t overpowering and I didn’t find this to be the case.

I am really Impressed with this blush and would love to try the rest of this range of blushers. Hopefully the brand, will continue to branch out here in the UK. I for one would love to try some of the other products available.

Have you tried these blushers? Which sort of blusher are you sporting at the moment? Have you tried any Essence products?

Lots of Love,
