I was lucky enough to get this in my Secret Santa pressie. Kirstie who was my secret Santa did an amazing job picking this product for me as I have read so many reviews, including Kirstie’s it even featured on her top beauty finds 2013.
Don’t be fooled by its basic looking packaging this product this product isn’t at all your basic primer. The packaging is quite plain, it comes in a clear plastic bottle with a basic pump, Its a really easy way to dispense the product as any other way and there would be alot of wastage because you don’t need a lot of product at all to add a stunning glow to your skin. Even one pump is abit much for me.
This is a multiway product which can be used in 3 different ways, it can be used as a primer to add a little pick me up to your skin. You can add the product to your foundation to add a dewy glow or use as a straight highlighter.
As a primer it leaves your skin with a really natural subtle glow to your skin. Although I don’t no if it made my make up last longer, it did make me look refreshed and my skin had a healthy look to it. This is probably my least favourite way to use this product as I really do need a primer that reduces the look of my pores and helps my make up stay on longer. Yet if you have been feeling unwell or had a lack of sleep using it this way will give your skin a real lift and make you look healthier within minutes.
Mixed with foundation it gives your foundation an extra kick of shimmer leaving you looking dewy and bright. You only need the tiniest bit to make a difference. I do find if you have any spots or blemishes this just makes them stand out even more. So best used very lightly or on blemish free skin. I however do really enjoy using the product this way and think in the summer it will be perfect to add a dewy look to your skin without having to search for a whole new foundation.
I like many of the other bloggers who have reviewed this product love this product most, when its used as a highlighter. I find it much more flattering to add a bit of shimmery highlight to my cheekbones and brow bones rather than on my nose and forehead as I think it makes my pores look even more visible. Nevertheless I love the pinky tone to this highlighter, as normally I go for a Champagne coloured highlighter. It has a pearly sheen that is really pretty, it reminds me of Highbeam by Benefit which is a cult classic. However highbeam will set you back a hefty £19.50 compared to this which comes to £5.99. Which I’m sure you’ll agree is a total bargain even if you only use it as a highlighter.
