Mary -Lou Manizer

I got this highlighter at Christmas after lusting after it for ages. I am a massive fan of highlighting and contouring, I think it can really make a difference to an everyday look. I use lots of different highlighter to go with different looks. Yet I find myself reaching for this highlighter more than any other. The shade is ever so flattering and easy to wear as its shimmery without the glitter. I also love the fact that this really is a highlighter I would use for all my highlighting needs as its so versatile. I even use it as an all over eyeshadow or even over the top of a different shade to add a little shimmer.

The Balm says:

Meet Mary-Lou Manizer, a seemingly innocent honey-hued luminizer that catches everybody’s eye. This highlighter, shadow and shimmer diffuses light so your skin looks softer and younger while adding a subtle glow.

Like all products for The Balm the packaging is really cute with a cheeky pinup style girl on the casing. The formula is extremely smooth and really soft to touch which I find is the best sort of formula  fora really blendable highlighter. The casing is really sturdy which is good especially as due to the softness of the formula it is prone to breakage. Yet the best feature is the amazing pigmentation, you only need the slightest dusting for an amazing colour payoff. I recommend using the tiniest bit and building up to get the right balance for you. As you can use this for a subtle look or for full on glamour, which makes me love it even more.

The shade is a beautiful champagne like colour and although it comes across quite yellow in photos it has a beautiful pinky tint in the shimmer. Making it really flattering to almost all skin tones. Although not cheap at £17.00 it is actually really reasonably priced considering the amount  of ways you can use it and for how little you actually need per use it will last you ages.

I love this product and this is not only my go to highlighter I think it is overall my favourite. have you tried this highlighter? Which highlighters do you love? Do you prefer powder or cream highlighters?

Lots of love,
Laura x
