I am always blown away by Yves Saint Laurents make up which although quite pricey. It is without doubt worth it. The Infamous Gold packaging alone oozes sophistication and glamour. The formulas of their make up is second to none, they always look fantastic on and make you feel a million dollars.
As I’m sure you will agree from the pictures this shade is absolutely stunning. The lipstick is quite creamy in texture so is very easy to apply gliding over the lips. I found that I prefer applying with a lip brush as it is much neater yet I wouldn’t say this is an necessity The formula feels moisturing to the lip and has a slight gloss to it because of this it doesn’t set like many other lipsticks. Yet if you do have chapped lips the lipstick can sit in the creases. If you look closely in the pictures you can see that this is the case with my lips. My lips aren’t that dry either so if you do suffer from dry lips it might not be the lipstick formula for you. However It does stay in place all day and leave your lips more moisturized than other lipsticks when removed.
I have found that the packaging scuffs and doesn’t hold its shine like the old YSL lipsticks that happened within a few uses without the box and being stored in my make up bag. Have noticed that the lipstick does leave my lips softer especially with continued use. So all in all I still love the lipstick just disappointed the packaging now looks old and tatty when I haven’t even treated it badly.
Have you tried any YSL products? Which are your favorites? Which shades from YSL lipsticks are you lusting for, or do I need to purchase next?
Lots of Love,
